The novel that I am in the midst of reading is called Bass Ackwards and Belly up. It is written by Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain. Harper Waddle, Sophie Bushell, Kate Foster, and Becca Winsberg are best friends. They are sadly counting down the hours till they have to leave each other to go to college/university. But one of the girls has a secret which she tries to cover up by telling everybody a lie.
The characters in this book are all very different.
Harper Waddle wants to be the next Jane Austen or Sylvia Plath, she love to write(she is also the girl with the secret). Sophie Bushell want to act in movies and become a big movie star. Sophie is attending a local collage, nothing fancy. Becca Winsberg has a very dysfunctional family. She hopes to be a part of the Middlebury ski team. Becca is the girl that is closest to leaving for college. Kate Foster is still wondering what she should have as a Profession. She does not want to be the girl with “perfect” grades, “perfect” hair, and a “perfect” boyfriend. Kate would rather go to Paris or Athens then go to Harvard.
