Nobody Waved Good-Bye

December 7, 2007

I started reading the book “Noboday Waved Good-Bye” on Wednesday when we had that supply. I was reading Hannibal but I lost it in my room and Mrs.C never got me Trainspotting…. so anyways I started reading this book, well actually it’s a screen play for the movie but I mean it’s still good, still readable. I’m not really that far into it, yeah I’m on page 40, however so far it’s good.

It’s about this guy named Peter and his struggles with life. Up to this point the main focus has been on his school issues and over-all family issues. His out look on life clashes with that of others and it ends up getting him into some heated arguments aswell as causing some. He’s always getting lectured about how he needs to go somewhere in life, how he needs to get things together for school, how he needs to think about his future and what he’s going to do to make it. He, however has a different way of seeing how things are. He questions how sucessful you are really when you spend your entire life getting somewhere, just so that when you get there your working to make someone else happy. Why does everyone want this “perfect life”? What kind of life are you leading and what is it excatly that your living for? Think about it. Or are you just living for the sake of living without any goal or reason to it?

So that’s about where I am right now anyways. So far, so good.
