Amazing gadgets!
Yamaha BodiBeat
The first gadget that I read about and found interesting was a MP3 player marketed towards athletes that will play music with tempos to match your running pace. A computer program counts beats beforehand and it allows for the perfect excersise music.
It doesn’t really seem all that necessary. Most athletes will keep at the same pace for each time they work out. They can load any type of MP3 player with songs that have just the right speed, or if anything just make a playlist called “Jogging.” This particular device costs $300. That seems sort of expensive for such a simple task. It’s not even as flashy looking as say an ipod, or a zune and proabbly doesn’t come in as well priced sizes.
HYmini
The next gadget is a handheld windmill in a way. It has a small built in fan that spins a turbine which generates enough power to run a small gadget…such as a useless MP3 player. *cough*BodiBeat*cough* It can work in winds of 9mph and higher, with extra energy being stored in a battery.
This product seems like a generally good idea. Its rather inexpensive at $50 and its sufficiently small (palm sized) that I could imagine people acutally being convinced to purchase this product for that extra extenstion of energy for their devices.
